Syria |
The Sudanese families of Christian religion are
obliged to escape from their own Country in order to avoid a massacre
in force since many years in Sudan; a massacre that nobody intends
to talk about. A religious-looking like war hiding extremely large
economic interests: the South of the Country, where Christian people
live, has very productive lands and plenty of water and oil.
The Christian population is slaughtered and the people succeeding
to survive are pushed towards the desert from where they try to look
for a shelter in Egypt or Syria.
Guerrina, an Italian missionary sister with a great heart, lives in
Syria since many years.
Two years ago, she built a kindergarten in Damascus in order to enable
these Sudanese mothers to work without being obliged to take care,
during the day, of their own children.
A very taught struggle, day by day, in order to guarantee a secure
shelter, a warm meal and a smile able to remove the fear and the insecurity
that these children have inherited by their parents.
We wish, by this program of distance adoptions to be able to allow
these poor Sudanese families to send their children to a safe school
and to provide a sound support to these angels on earth who watch
over them… |
