| The Podere
Serra, an old farm located in the city of Forlì countryside,
following to the required renovation works, has become an educational
and therapeutic residence in position to shelter up to 11 children,
aged 12 -18, temporarily entrusted to the local social services. |

The residence, managed by Butterfly Foundation, is taking care, since February 2008 , thanks to highly qualified personnel, of the education as well as of the psychological care of the young guests in order to guarantee their future autonomy and independence with the target, where possible, to relocate them inside their original families.
THE WORKSHOPS |
| Inside the Podere Serra large areas dedicated to labs and workshops are available for the development of special talents and artistic capabilities of the internal guests. Afternoon courses dedicated to external young children as well have been implemented in order to promote an integration process between internal and external adolescents living at their own premises. The subjects of these afternoon courses, structured in six hours per week include, painting, sculpture, design, dance , ceramics |
| In the nearby land a riding field for the activity of hippo therapy, open to the house guests primarily but to external users as well, is foreseen as the required funding will be made available. |

have been carried out thanks to the major financial support of the
owners, O.a.s.i. asp. |
| Butterfly
foundation supported the funding of this renovation project, thanks
to the contributions received by VODAFONE FOUNDATION ITALIA ( 154.000,00
euros), by the FOUNDATION CASSA DEI RISPARMI DI FORLI ( 25.000,00
euros) and by the company PIOVAN HOLDING ( euro 15.000,00 ) . |
