Thanks to the financial support granted by the Butterfly Foundation, the Fundacion Los Niños del Mañana , headed by Mr. Raul Bagatello, could achieve the opening of a 53 meters deep drilled water well in El Moreno, a settlement located at 3.800 meters of altitude, in the region of Juiuy ( Argentina).
 
In this area where temperatures reach 20°C below zero, the the Fundacion Los Niños del Mañana, in the year 2004 build a canteen feeding everyday 110 children coming from the nearby villages that finally can receive a hot meal and a snack.

Up today the village used to drink the water of a small river that, during the dry season, is usually highly polluted causing severe health problems specially to young children.

The project beneficiaries will be approx. 300 people living the village of El Moreno in addition to the canteen children.

The village and obviously the well, are currently powered by a huge generator producing electric power from 3,00 p.m. till 11,00 p.m. each day. The project will be completed by the installation of a 7.000 litres capacity tank with distribution faucets that will allow a water supply during the day without recourse to a power supply generator.
