Following the opening of Kelasa water well, that took place in such a remote village of Irob district, in the Eastern Tigray region, Ethiopia, on September 29th2015, the local people showed us some stone walls representing the local primary school; two open-air classrooms with bamboo canes fencing and three classrooms with some openings among the stones to look like windows, were the available local school facility.
Thanks to Filippo Leandro Benvenuti bequest, three new, duly furnished, classrooms and six latrines for male and female students have been officially opened on February 6th 2019.
Another small drop in the great sea of the educational needs of these children !!
