This new well, located near the village of Atgetbu, in Tabia of Hadish Hiwot, Saesie Tsaeda Emba district in the Tigray region of Ethiopia, has been drilled thanks to the support of the Associazione Volontari l’Accoglienza, a well-established partner of the Butterfly Onlus Foundation.
The launch of the well, drilled to a depth of 70 metres and operated by a hand pump, took place on the 22nd June 2012 in the presence of the village people and the neighbouring villages who can also access the well.
The well allows around 390 people to finally gain access to clean water.
