Several water-related projects are presently under progress in the Tigray region, North of the country at the border with Eritrea.
The “Donate the Water” scheme has been made possible through the partnership established between Butterfly Charity Foundation and ECC-SDOAd-B (Catholic Association of Adigrat) to implement several water-related projects. The above, following the recent severe drought, the worst since over the last years.
On February 20th, 2020, a water well, completely dry for several years, has been delivered to the local population at the village of GEZA DEARO (2.550 a.s.l.) Gulomakeda district in Tigray region, Ethiopia.
The rehabilitation of the water well has been made possible thanks to the funds made available by SANUSLIFE INTERNATIONAL Srl./GmbH company, based in Bolzano (Italy) in the frame of their solidarity campaign SANUS CHARITY POOL.
The beneficiaries of this project are the range of 1300 people.
