Guder deep water well

Tanks to the financial support granted by I.E.S. Rome, Associazione Volontari l’Accoglienza, Rome Province and direct funding by the Butterfly Foundation,  a deepwater well, exceeding 200 metres depth,  operated by electric power has been dug at the depth of 170 meters at the Orphanage and primary school compound of Guder, a small town 120 kilometres far from Addis Abeba in Ethiopia. A tank with 5.000 litres capacity has been installed as well.

Part of the financing has been secured by the Brothers of St. Joseph de Heerlen congregation.

The official opening took place on November 24th  2010.
