Thanks to the contribution of Associazione Volontari l’Accoglienza (Hospitality Volunteers’ Association), Fondazione Butterfly Onlus was able to open, during their mission in Ethiopia in January 2011, an additional well in the town of HADUSH ADI located in the Administrative Province of Irob, Tigray Region, Ethiopia.
On January 14, 2011, the village women, according to custom, had begun to work the hand pump accompanied with songs and applause when the clean water came out.
The well was drilled at a depth of 50 meters and will give drinking water to more than 600 people.
