As part of the “Donate the water” scheme implemented by Butterfly foundation together with the charity Association Volontari l’Accoglienza based in Caselle (TO) and the Adigrat Catholic Secretariat (ADCS) a water well, has been drilled in IYEHA, district of Endalgheda, province of IROB, 150 kilometres north of Mekelle city in the northern part of Tigray region, bordering Eritrea.
The official opening of the well took place on September 30th 2015 in front of many people chanting and thanking for such a great gift. beneficiaries of this water point have been assessed to be in the range of some 300 people.
The well has been dedicated to VALERIA by her mother, Paola Cannata, who unfortunately could not attend the water well opening ceremony.
