The Associazione Volontari l’Accoglienza ( The Hospitality Volunteers’ Association) on January 14, 2011, saw firsthand the huge impact this intervention made in the same area where years earlier they had supported the creation of a water well which is still in perfect working order.
In Manewot piping was in fact carried out for water distribution, both coming from the well and from a nearby spring, which allowed the irrigation of a large piece of land and for said land cultivation. The beneficiaries of the intervention, originally about 600 people who lived in the area, are now more than 2,000 people, as a result of the real and sound possibility of cultivating the land and selling agricultural products such as carrots, cabbage, onions, potatoes, etc…
