The project, completely financed by ARCA Group Cesena, in the frame of the ”Make a loving gesture: donate the water “ campaign, promoted in 2017 through A&O and FAMILA sales points, foresaw the rehabilitation of six dry water wells in the district of GULOMEKADA, Tigray region.
Such an initiative has been made possible thanks to the partnership established between Butterfly Charity Foundation and its local technical partner ADCS.
The rehabilitation of the MAY KAEBY water well dried up for a few years, consisting in the supply of new extended pipes to reach the depth of 67 metres, a brand new pump, fencing and training of the Water and Sanitation Committee, in accordance with running practice, has been duly completed and the official opening of the well took place on November 15th 2017. The beneficiaries of the well are approx. 350 individuals.
