The drilling of a well with a hand pump in the area of Sasie, in the woreda of Sasietsaedaemba, 10 km from the centre of Edaga Hamus and 25 km from Adigrat, Eastern Tigray, Ethiopia, was financed by the company EUROPIPING srl/Industrial Technologies.
The opening of the well took place in front of the local population on 25th February 2009.
Approximately 600 people live in Sasie, but the 40 metres deep well also provide a clean water supply to 250 pupils of a nearby school.
