As part of the “Donate Water” scheme, which has been made possible through the partnership established among Butterfly Foundation, ECC-SDOAd, (Catholic Association of Adigrat), and VO.L’A (Associazione Volontari l’Accoglienza), for many years, several projects water-related, are under progress in Tigray and Afar region, North of the country at the border with Eritrea.
This project is related to the rehabilitation of the dry water well, dry for almost two years and located at Tantay Ruba, Gulomekada district; new extended pipes have been installed together with a brand new pump and fencing in accordance with running practice. The official opening of the well took place on November 5th 2018.
The number of beneficiaries of this water well, is in the range of 400 individuals; the project has been financed by Antonietta Benedetto in memory of her beloved husband.
