Welwalo water well

Welwalo  village belongs to the  Saesie Tsaedaemba province, 35 kilometres from Adigrat, in the Tigray region, Ethiopia. The implementation cost of this project has been supported by Mrs. Annita Racca Occelli and this well is dedicated to women. It’s a very difficult area with a consistent shortage of water.

Welwalo water well

Welwalo village belongs to the  Saesie Tsaedaemba province, 35 kilometres from Adigrat, in the Tigray region, Ethiopia. The implementation cost of this project has been supported by Mrs. Annita Racca Occelli and this well is dedicated to women. It’s a very difficult area with a consistent shortage of water.

The water well has been officially opened on February 9th 2010 after having been drilled at a depth of  52 metres. The beneficiaries of this project are 700 people approx.

Most part of the inhabitants is made of women and children.
