As part of the “Donate the Water” scheme, which has been made possible through the partnership established between Butterfly Foundation and ECC-SDOAd-B (Catholic Association of Adigrat), several water-related projects have been opened with a three-year delay following the Covid-19 pandemic and a long war that caused over 600.000 deads.
The Ruba Kenrni water well has been rehabilitated through a project that included new extended pipes to reach an adequate depth, a new, hand-operated pump, fencing and training of the Water and Sanitation Committee by running practice. The depth of the water well is 65 metres.
The number of beneficiaries is in the range of 250 people.
The official opening of this well took place on July 24th 2023.
This water well is dedicated to Mauro and Mattia Zorzetto.
