The Butterfly Foundation continues to dedicate the most significant attention to the dire situation of the people living in the Tigray Region, after two years of war and a drought that caused several hundred casualties.
Thanks to the financial support received by Valentina Scala on the date of November 19th 2024, the water well of Sektoro, dry for several years, has been rehabilitatedd and can supply fresh potable water to some 1.525 people as well as to many students of the nearby school.
The project provided the setting of new pipes, a hand-operated pump and fencing.
The project was dedicated by Valentana and her son Dario to the memory of Claudio Chiti, who passed away a few years ago.
