Eleyto water well

Our local partners selected the rehabilitation of the ELEYTO water well in Gulomekada province, Region of Tigray, as an urgent priority.

The rehabilitation works will provide a brand-new hand pump, new fencing, and piping to reach the underground water level. The well, which has been dry for a few years, will have 500 beneficiaries and will be dedicated by Maurizio Vecchi to the memory of his wife, Alessandra Minghelli.

If the funds are made available in time, the project’s opening ceremony will take place next February 2026.
