A war that caused over 700.000 casualties produced lasting consequences for the entire population of the Tigray Region.
70% of existing water wells have been destroyed, while schools and hospitals have been severely damaged.
Most schools lack benches. Among the requested priorities, we selected the Alegen water well in the Gulomakeda district.
The well will be opened next February 2026 and will provide clean, potable water to 730 people.
