Based on the request of Saint’ Anne’s Daughter Congregation, the Butterfly foundation decided to fund the project of water distribution points at Nagafile, a small village, located in the neighbouring of Guder, in the Oromia region, 120 kilometres far from Addis Abeba, counting approx. 1.200 inhabitants having no direct access to clean water.
Women of Nagafile were obliged to walk more than one hour in order to collect the Municipality clean water. The project has been duly completed in October 2012 connecting, by means of extensive piping works, the Municipality water network to five distribution points inside the village and allowing clean water provision to all the people.
25% of the local population are children.
