Gabriele is still with us and with all the people who loved him. Clean and potable water finally flows from the pump of the well rehabilitated at the Hangoda, located in Tsaeda Emba district in the Region of Tigray. Gabriele’s parents, Andrea & Katia, and several friends decided to promote fundraising for the rehabilitation of this well in memory of their son Gabriele, who recently passed away.
The well, arid for a long time, located within the school compound of the local primary school, sheltering five hundred students, has been rehabilitated and equipped with a new hand-operated pump, pipings in position to reach the groundwater level, and due fencing.
On February 9th, 2024, Andrea celebrated the official opening of the well in the presence of the local people and the school’s students.
This water greatly supports so many children who can look at a brighter future.
