Thanks to the financial support of several friends of the Divino family, the Butterfly Foundation opened the AYFELA water well close to a school compound at the Subuha Saesie province, Tigray Region, Ethiopia, after the required rehabilitation work. This well has been dry for several years, and now, clean water is finally available to 875 beneficiaries.
The project rehabilitation involved installing new piping to reach the updated water level, providing a new hand-operated pump, and due fencing to guarantee safe water collection.
The official opening took place on the 7th of March, 2025.
This water well is dedicated to the memory of Edoardo, Sibylle, Leonardo, and Carmen.
