The project, completely financed by ARCA Group Cesena, in the frame of the ”Make a loving gesture: donate water “ campaign, promoted in 2017, through A&O and FAMILA sales points, foresaw the rehabilitation of six dry water wells in the district of GULOMEKADA, Tigray region.
Such an initiative has been made possible thanks to the existing partnership between Butterfly Charity Foundation and its local technical partner ADCS.
The rehabilitation of the MAY AGAM water well dried up since a few years, the supply of new extended pipes to reach the required 64 metres depth, a brand new pump, fencing and training of the Water and Sanitation Committee, in accordance with running practice, has been duly completed and the official opening of the well took place on November 15th 2017 .
The beneficiaries of the well are approx. 350 individuals.
