Several water-related projects are presently under progress in the Tigray region, North of the country at the border with Eritrea.
The “Donate the Water” scheme has been made possible through the partnership established between Butterfly Charity Foundation and ECC-SDOAd-B (Catholic Association of Adigrat) to implement several water-related projects. The above, in the frame of following the recent severe drought, the worst since over the last years.The foundation has successfully opened the water wells of Enda Shiden, Enda Wayne, and Bihayta last June 8th, 2019, as wells the water well of Tahiti Geza Hade, on November 7th, 2029, for a total number of 3.100 beneficiaries. These wells have been rehabilitated thanks to Hera Spa. and Hera comm, employees, and customers in HERASOLIDALE. campaign frame.
On February 14th, 2020, a water well, has been delivered to the local population at the village of MUKYAM, (2.370 meters a.s.l.) at Gulomekada district in the Tigray region, Ethiopia, for the benefit of additional 900 people. New extended pipes to reach the depth of 65 meters, a brand new, hand-operated pump, fencing and training of the Water and Sanitation Committee have been duly provided under running practice.
