As part of the “Donate Water” scheme, which has been made possible through the partnership established between Butterfly Charity Foundation and ECC-SDCOAd, (Catholic Association of Adigrat), several projects water-related, are presently under progress in Tigray and Afar region, North of the country at the border with Eritrea.
This project includes the rehabilitation of the following five water wells in the Irob province, districts of Endalgheda, Alitena, Agerelekoma, Endamosa.
The Rubaché water well, located at Agerelekoma district, with 52 metres depth, has been opened on June 4th 2018.
In accordance with running practice, new extended pipes have been installed to reach an adequate depth, as well as a brand new pump. Brand new fencing has been erected thanks to the village people contribution. The number of beneficiaries of this well is 200 people approx. This well is one of the five water wells that have been rehabilitated in Irob province thanks to the financial support of Mr Melchore Bonollo.
