In the frame of the existing cooperation established several years ago among Butterfly Foundation, ECC-SDCOAd (Adigrat Catholic secretariat) and VO.L’A association, intended to secure potable water to the remote villages in rural areas of Tigray region, the implementation of a new water well drilled close to Siheta school compound, Gentafesum district, has been completed and the water duly opened on November 7th 2018
The well has been drilled at a depth of 58 metres and equipped with a brand new hand-operated pump, in order to guarantee due maintenance and operation of the well.
Funds for the implementation of this new project have made available by VO.L’A while the total number of direct beneficiaries are a total of 600 individuals.
