A water supply system project has been accomplished by the Butterfly Foundation, in the Region of Gambela, Southwest Ethiopia, thanks to the technical and operational support of VIS, Volontari Italiani per lo Sviluppo and the financial support granted by AATO LAGUNA DI VENEZIA.
Ten wells of drinkable water have been drilled in the area for the benefit of over 13.000 people
The project was brought to a close in March 2007, with the delivery of the wells to the populations of the individual villages, totalling over 13,000 people, a quarter of whom are children under the age of 16 and 30% of whom are women between the ages of 15 and 49 years.”
