Daya school latrines

The Daya school project, implemented in three phases, is still under execution following the war, which prevented the execution of the third project step, foreseeing the construction of a library and a teacher’s room.

In 2015, four wholly furnished classrooms were made available to the primary school students, grades 1-4, a water cistern for rainwater collection, school fencing, and eight-seat latrines. In February 2020, we opened a kindergarten and four additional classrooms for grades five to eight. A water well has additionally been drilled inside the school compound, which is confirmed to be still in operation.

Today’s Latrined in Daya..

The school administration is requesting the urgent construction of the eight-seat latrines, initially built for secondary school students, since the lack of the same might cause a considerable drop in students’ school attendance.

Considering the recent increase in the cost of building materials due to the war, the cost of this building is €. 24.500.
