The “Donate the Water” scheme has been made possible through the partnership between the Butterfly Charity Foundation and ECC-SDOAd-B (Catholic Association of Adigrat) to implement several water-related projects.
Following a war that lasted two years, causing over 600.000 casualties and obliging 2.700.000 people to leave their homes, it was of vital importance to guarantee safe and clean water to so many people trying to survive.
A water well, completely dry, has been rehabilitated at the village of Ruba Kedenaw Genta Afesum district in Tigray region, Ethiopia, thanks to the funds made available by the association Libera Condivisione onlus. http://www.liberacondivisione.org
This project guarantees potable water to over 900 people and has been opened by February 6th 2024
