Following the request of the Gola primary school director, Butterfly Foundation made the required financing available for the funding of ten toilets construction building.
The lack of such a kind of facility obliged the little female students to stay at home during their menses, causing in the meantime heavy bacteria transmission among the other students.
Following the completion of this first part of the project on June 6th 2013, special courses related to the student’s personal care and sanitary conditions will be activated.
During the opening ceremony, additional requests have been submitted by the school principals, due to the complete lack of water for drinking and hygienical purposes, school facility fencing for the children protection and safeguard, and the urgent need for new classrooms and school materials.
Children are today attending classes in old containers.
