On 26th November 2010, with particular thanks to Ermanno Magnani of the E.O.R.A. Association in Arenzano (Province of Genoa), who wanted to fund this project, the foundation unveiled the Diblah well, which is 50 metres deep and will provide a safe water supply to 120 family units, approximately 600 people.
The well is located in the woreda of Ganta Afeshum, about an hour from Adigrat, in the Tigray Region in the north of the country, where intestinal illnesses are widespread, particularly among children, and are caused primarily by domestic use of water from unsafe sources (in particular stagnant water).
A water well in these areas is really a privilege for so many people having no access to clean water.
