As part of the “Donate the Water” scheme, which has been made possible through the partnership established among Butterfly Charity Foundation, ADCS, the Catholic Association of Adigrat and the charity association Volontari l’Accoglienza di Caselle (TO), a water well has been drilled and officially opened on May 1st 2017, in HAYDILE, in Irob province, Tigray Region.
The total number of beneficiaries is 280 individuals not counting the people living in the nearby villages who will access clean water as well.
A new pump and pipes have been installed in order to reach a depth of 63 meters, below the aquifer level. Due fencing will be executed in accordance with the usual procedure
A Water & Sanitation committee has been established in accordance with the common practise in order to guarantee due maintenance and operation of the well.
The well has been funded by Ornella, Silvana and Miranda Rubiolo, through the Vo L’A association
