In the frame of the “Donate the water” scheme, promoted and implemented by Butterfly foundation, the Charity Association Volontari l’Accoglienza based in Caselle (TO) and ADCS ( Adigrat Catholic Secretariat) a new water well has been drilled at the village of KETIN SERDI, district of Sasie-Tsaemba, Tigray region, Ethiopia and officially opened on May 2nd 2017 The well has been equipped with a hand pump in order to guarantee easy maintenance of the same and duly fenced; a water & sanitation committee has been established in accordance with the usual practice.
This is the sixth water well dedicated to MARCO, a young man who passed away following a car accident by his wonderful parents. Beneficiaries of this project are 280 people approx. We thank Marco’s parents for their generosity and care in needing people
