As part of the “‘Make a loving gesture: donate the water“ scheme which has been created through the partnership between the Butterfly Foundation and Arca s.p.a. based in Longiano, several projects have been set up with the aim of assisting the rural population in Eastern Tigray in having better access to water.
The objective of the project is to reactivate dry wells by removing the old tubing, fitting new tubing to a suitable depth, equipping the same with a new mechanical pump and protective fencing.
This project has been opened on 2016 November 19th at Wankabo Endalgheda district, Eastern Tigray region; the total number of direct beneficiaries is around 350 people, in addition to the large number of inhabitants in nearby villages who will be able to draw benefit from this well. The project has been financed by Arca Group.
