Several water-related projects are underway in the Tigray region, North of the country, at the border with Eritrea, under the “Donate Water” scheme, which has been made possible through the partnership between the Butterfly Charity Foundation and ECC-SDOAd-B (Catholic Association of Adigrat) to implement several water-related projects.
A water well, arid for several years, already rehabilitated at the village of AFDAGA, Tsaeda Emba district in Tigray region, Ethiopia, at the end of 2019, could finally be opened on July 28 2023.
The rehabilitation works included the installation of a new had-operated pump, piping to reach the new groundwater level, fencing and setting up a new WATSAN committee to manage the operation.
The required funds have been made available by HERA Spa and Hera Comm and their employees and Customers in the frame of the HERASOLIDALE campaign.
The number of beneficiaries is approximately 300 people.
