Addi Ghiddad water well

This new well has been inaugurated on  17th March 2008 in front of the local population, after the one built-in 2007, was financed by Don Sergio Messina’s association, Volontari l’Accoglienza, and was built in the village of Addi Ghiddad, located 8 km away from the city of Shire, in the vicinity of Adua, in the Tigray Region.

Addi Ghiddad water well

This new water well has been inaugurated on  17th March 2008 at the village of Addi Ghiddad, located 8 km away from the city of Shire, in the vicinity of Adua, in the Tigray Region, following the previous one built in 2007; the well has been financed by Don Sergio Messina’s association, Volontari l’Accoglienza. Most part of the local population attended the opening ceremony.

The drilling of this well has noticeably improved access to drinking water for the population of 350 families,  2000 people approximately, in the village of Addi Ghiddad, which is located in an agricultural area characterised by strong demographic growth.
