Useless to mention the paramount importance of granting access to clean and potable water to people living in a Region where two years of war caused over 600.000 casualties, and over a million IDPs.
The number of dry water wells is enormous due to declining water levels, ongoing drought, and wartime destruction.
Our Foundation decided to support the request to rehabilitate a dry well at Grakubo in the Tsaeda Emba province, Tigray Region, Ethiopia, and is promoting a fundraising campaign to reach the required amount for the immediate execution of the works. The beneficiaries are estimated at approximately 480 people.
We appreciate and thank the students of the Gonzaga International School, based in Palermo, for their willingness to partly contribute to financing this project in such a remote area, as well as the donations received by the Polizia di Stato Foggia in memory of Roberto Russo, Caterina Muscio, Chiara Carbone, Raffaele Soccodato, Michele Guandalini, Silvana Lenghi, Claudio Maneri, and the società Consulenza & Formazione srl. e Carla Pini.
