For a few years, as part of the “Donate Water” scheme, which has been made possible through the partnership established between Butterfly Charity Foundation and ECC-SDCOAd, several projects water-related, are in progress in the Tigray region, North of the country at the border with Eritrea. The above, following the recent severe drought, the worst since over the last years.
This well, located in the village of Abiyigula, Tigray region, Ethiopia, has been renovated by the installation of new extended pipes to reach the requested depth, as well as a brand new pump has been supplied while the training of the Water and Sanitation Committee, has been duly executed in accordance with running practice.
On November 8th 2018 we officially opened this well, dedicated to Pasquale Antonacci, which obviously will highly contribute to the wellbeing of all the people of the local community seeking clean water for more than two years.
