The project, dedicated to the memory of Gino Pizzighello, foreseeing the implementation of a water well to be drilled at depth of 70 meters at Gembeba, in the Ganta-Afeshum province Tigray Region, Ethiopia has been duly completed in accordance with the delivery terms.
On June 4th 2013 the well, equipped with a hand pump and duly fenced has been officially delivered to the population.
The beneficiaries are estimated to be in the range of some 900 people equal to 150 households.
Most parts of the beneficiaries are women.
A water sanitation committee has been established for the management of the water well and the collection of fees to be used for the water well maintenance.
