This water well has been implemented thanks to the savings of Lorenzo Ghedi, a young man born in Torino and killed in a car accident on October 9th2011 at the age of 24 only, after his engineering graduation at the Polytechnic school.
Lorenzo’s parents decided to transform their grief for the loss of their son giving pure and potable water to the village of Kafna, in Tigray Region, Irob woreda, Ethiopia.
The well has been opened on February 12th 2014 in front of a lot of children of from the local school and the people of Kafna village. A special thank to the Associazione Volontari l’Accoglienza for attending the ceremony as well as for their support.”
