On the 21st June 2012, it took place the official opening of Qeyahti-Gerhu well; the beneficiaries of the project are 400 people and the project has been financed, through Associazione Volontari l’Accoglienza, by Carlo and Anna Maria Graglia.
The well, drilled at a depth of 64 metres is operated by a hand pump. The average temperature of the area, in part, is favourable to man, cattle breeding and agricultural production despite the zone being characterised by irregular rainfall. The livelihood of the population in the area of the project is based chiefly on agriculture and cattle breeding.
