The school was dedicated to the memory of ‘Luisa Signorelli’, and over 300 children finally have the chance of going to school. The Associazione Volontari l’Accoglienza has shown that they wish to help people living in this part of Ethiopia actively by financing this project.
Together with the Butterfly Foundation, they have helped establish the first well of drinkable water a few kilometres away.
The Associazione Volontari l’Accoglienza would like to establish a long-distance support project for children attending this school made up of four classrooms and hygiene facilities to guarantee their primary education.”
On the 14th June 2011, Don Sergio Messina, founder of the Associazione Volontari l’Accoglienza, inaugurated a primary school in Shiraro in the region of Tigrai, Ethiopia.
