On October 1st 2015, in Daya, a remote village located in Irob valley, ten kilometers far from Alitena, the school bell rang for the first time for many children. They were used to sit on big stones under the sun, having two classes made of rough stone walls without any roof for their education.

The kids were too small to walk almost 20 kilometres per day, were usually kept home. Now, following the opening of Giorgia’s school, made of four duly furnished classrooms and toilets, they will finally have a suitable place where to study. The above thanks to the generosity of many people who supported the funding of this project.
A class has been dedicated by the “Associazione Giacomo Cianchetti onlus” to the little Giacomo; another class has been dedicated to Simone by his parents.
We must address Herrod Foundation, Bianca and Giorgia’s friends and relatives a special thank for their great support given to this project.
