Last May 3rd 2023, the Ethiopian Government decided to finally re-open the schools in the Tigray Region. The students were obliged to desert their classrooms for a period exceeding three years due to Covid 19 pandemic and the two-year war that caused over 600.000 casualties, famine and pain to all the people living in the area and especially to the most vulnerable ones, such as children and women.
Roberto Zamperin & Manuela Rossetti decided to finance the construction of two rooms to be used as the Library and administration of the school. The projects had to be immediately interrupted three years ago, due to the war, but after resuming the site works, we could finally open this project on February 10th 2024.
Due to the increase in student numbers, the school board decided to dedicate this new block to additional classrooms.
The school director asked to finance a new KG construction of three classrooms, while the existing one will become a library/administration room.
